Srinagar colleges, two schools to remain closed on Monday | KNO

The administration of three main colleges in Srinagar has decided to close the teaching institutes on Monday following the killing of three militants in Shopian.

“Teaching activity will remain suspended in Islamia College, Amarsingh college Gandhi College, SP school and MP school tomorrow,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone told .


However, the official did not explain the reasons of the closure, official sources told KNS that the decision has been taken in the backdrop of the killing of three Hizb militants including its Field Operational Commander, Yasin Yatoo alias Mahmood Ghaznavi in Shopian in an encounter.
